Pink Beach, locally known as Pantai Merah, is a rare natural wonder located on Komodo Island within the Komodo National Park. It is one of only seven pink sand beaches in the world. The beach gets its unique hue from Foraminifera, microscopic organisms that produce a red pigment on the coral reefs. When tiny fragments of these red corals mix with white sand, it creates the soft pink glow that defines the shoreline. The beach is set against a backdrop of turquoise waters and rolling green hills, making it a premier destination for photography and nature lovers.

Pink Beach is located on an uninhabited island that is the natural habitat of the Komodo Dragon. Visitors are advised to maintain a safe distance if they spot these large lizards, as they are powerful swimmers and wild predators. It is highly recommended to visit with an experienced guide or park ranger. There are no permanent facilities on the beach, so visitors should bring their own snacks, water, and sun protection.
