How do I find the song from a TikTok?+
Open the video in TikTok, tap Share, then Copy link. Paste that link above and press Find the song. The song title, artist, and album appear in a few seconds, with buttons for Spotify, Apple Music, and the sound's page on TikTok.
Why does it say original sound?+
The video uses audio that someone uploaded to TikTok rather than a song from TikTok's library. It is often made by a different account than the video's creator, so the result names who made it. In our check of 60 videos from TikTok's Explore feed on 26 Sep 2026, 45 used an original sound, and TikTok had matched 17 of those to a real track. When it has, the streaming buttons still appear.
Does it open the song directly in Spotify and Apple Music?+
Yes, when TikTok has matched the sound to a track. 29 of the 60 videos we checked had a direct Spotify or Apple Music link. For the rest, the buttons open a search for the title and artist instead, and say so.
Does it work with TikTok share links like vm.tiktok.com?+
Yes. Short links from the TikTok share sheet, vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com links, and m.tiktok.com links all resolve to the video before the sound is read.
Can it recognise a song from audio or humming?+
No. It reads the sound that TikTok lists for the video, so it cannot identify a song from a recording, a hummed tune, or a video that is not on TikTok. Photo posts are not supported yet either.
Is this TikTok song finder free?+
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark, and no cap on how many links you paste in a day. There is a short pause if you paste links faster than about twenty a minute. Tote makes it because people save TikToks to Tote and want the song later. Tote is not TikTok and is not affiliated with it.
